Lisagora Panoramic Tower
A 19-metre steel tower on Lisa Gora (1,424 m) with a 360-degree view over the Upper Arda and the Central Rhodopes. The area's newest attraction.
The Lisagora Panoramic Tower is the newest tourist site in the Upper Arda region. It is a steel tower rising 19 metres above the summit of Lisa Gora, at 1,424 metres above sea level, with a 360-degree view across the upper reaches of the Arda river and the Central Rhodopes.
On a clear day the view reaches Mount Veykata, the highest point of the Eastern Rhodopes and the southernmost point of Bulgaria, the Greek mountains Falakro and Pangaion, and part of the Pirin range. Twenty-two villages and hamlets can be seen from the top.
There are two ways up. The walking route is 3.9 km with about 456 metres of ascent, marked with yellow signs, starting at Shirok Most. There is only one water fountain along the way, in the first section, so carrying water is recommended. The site can also be reached by an off-road transfer of about 2 hours, with vehicles hired from the centre of Mogilitsa.
Opened summer 2024. The off-road trip can be combined with The Peak viewpoint, the sanctuary, and the Tipitse cave.
